Evaluate the requirement before the commercial basis

A trade enquiry should establish what product is required, how it will be evaluated, the expected quantity or volume direction, the target market, and which destination or shipment questions remain open. Availability, continuity, MOQ, lead time, price, terms, and responsibilities must be confirmed for the individual enquiry.

What matters

Four areas to clarify

  1. Category Scope

Identify the relevant product category or a defined unlisted material requirement.

  2. Specification Alignment

Describe the sizes, grades, forms, visual characteristics, or other criteria that matter where applicable.

  3. Quantity & Market Context

Share an expected quantity or volume direction, target market, and destination country where known.

  4. Export & Responsibility Questions

Identify packaging, timing, documentation, freight, and commercial questions that require confirmation.

  • Desired characteristics — Useful — Include form, appearance, material/species identity, or other relevant criteria where known.
  • Preferred sizes or grades — Useful — Only where applicable; do not imply governed grade standards exist.
  • Expected quantity or volume direction — Useful — Approximate direction is sufficient initially; no unit or MOQ is imposed.
  • Target market — Useful — Helps explain assortment, positioning, or compliance context without promising suitability.
  • Destination country — Useful — Important for product/export qualification; not proof of serviceability.
  • Intended application — Optional — Helpful where it affects product criteria.
  • Packaging expectations — Optional — A discussion input, not evidence of available packaging capability.
  • Timing — Optional — Desired timing only; no lead-time commitment.
  • Destination port or receiving point — Conditional — Relevant when shipment responsibilities are being discussed.
  • Import/documentation requirements — Conditional — Buyer-supplied or qualified-party context; Planet Aqua Scape capability remains unconfirmed.
  • Other technical or commercial requirements — Optional — May include requested terms for discussion, never acceptance by default.

Not currently authorized as mandatory: company registration, annual volume, territory plan, forecast, exclusivity request, application/approval process, or disclosure of customer lists. Such requirements need a verified commercial workflow and privacy review.

Important qualification

Define what consistency means for a natural product

Natural materials are not identical units. Where relevant, describe which characteristics should remain within an agreed direction and which natural differences are acceptable. Shape, colour, texture, pattern, and dimensions may vary, and any selection or grading basis must be confirmed for the quotation.

Review the supply discussion in context

Export feasibility and responsibilities depend on the product, quantity, destination, packaging needs, applicable import requirements, and proposed shipment arrangement.

Unlisted requirements

Discuss an unlisted product requirement

If the required Indonesian aquascaping product or related natural material is not publicly listed, share the available specification and market context for an initial sourcing discussion. Sourcing success and availability are not guaranteed.
